In short Pick a race, filter the runners, set your pay and places; runners wear your temporary tattoo and send a photo with their bib, and you only pay for validated proofs.
Calves everywhere, none working for you
A city race on a Sunday means thousands of runners, photographers on every corner, families filming, and finishers posting their photo before they have even collected their bag. Photos everywhere. And in those photos, calves. Lots of calves. Wearing nothing.
Leg Up lets runners entered in a race rent a zone of their body (a calf, both, a forearm, a shoulder, even the forehead) to a brand, which puts a temporary tattoo on it for race day. Runners set their price, from €5 to €1,000 per zone. You set your pay, your criteria and your number of places.
How it works
- Choose the race. Every race has an event page with the runners entered and the zones they rent out.
- Filter the runners. Zone, level (from first marathon to elite), budget, willingness to post on social media, followers, training activity. Sex, height and build only filter runners who declared them voluntarily. Before launching, the site tells you how many runners match.
- Launch your call. Maximum number of runners and the minimum that triggers the campaign, pay per runner, registration deadline (15 days before the race by default), selection mode (first to commit, or applications you review), and tattoo delivery (posted to runners, or collected at your address). You pay the maximum budget, and all matching runners are notified at once.
- Follow it live. Committed, declined, waitlist, places left, minimum reached or not, countdown. A campaign channel lets you message all your runners.
- After the race: proofs and payment. Each runner sends a photo of the tattoo with a readable bib within 7 days. You validate it or refuse it with a reason; without an answer within 5 days, it is validated automatically.
Why your budget is safe
- You pay the maximum budget upfront: runner pay, Leg Up's commission (20% of the pay), home delivery if you choose it (€3 excl. VAT per runner), and 20% VAT on those fees.
- Minimum not reached at the deadline: the campaign is cancelled and you are refunded.
- Places left empty, runners who withdraw without a replacement, or who do not start or prove: refunded, fees included.
- Every payment comes with an invoice, every refund with a credit note.
What you really get
Let's be honest: from a distance, in a pack of thousands, a temporary tattoo is not very visible. The value is elsewhere: in race photos, in content runners share (with the posting option), in a friendly local image, and in people who wear your brand by choice, because each of them read and accepted your offer.
Photos showing your tattoo can be used under the campaign contract: you choose the duration (6, 12, 24 or 36 months after the race, 12 by default) and the channels when you create the campaign, and each runner accepts it before committing.
What we won't do
No alcohol, tobacco, gambling or betting. No permanent tattoos, ever. No minors. And no "anything goes": each race has its rules (some ban body zones or brand sectors), and Leg Up enforces them race by race.
Give your brand a leg up.
